Our mission

The Dobrohoř Academy 2026 is a five-day intensive creative workshop for three flautists, three clarinettists, three pianists, and three composers who want to grow artistically, discover, collaborate, and push the boundaries of their interpretation or creation in the field of 20th and 21st-century music.

At the classicist Dobrohoř Castle—surrounded by silence, nature, and a focused atmosphere—young musicians from different countries meet with top-notch instructors who are among Europe’s most prominent performers and composers.

Our goal is to create a space where new ideas, friendships, chamber collaborations, and entirely new compositions can emerge.

The Dobrohoř Academy is not just another masterclass.

It is a platform for collaboration where:

  • performers work individually and together every day under the guidance of experienced lecturers,
  • composers create directly “tailor-made” for specific instrument combinations, hear their compositions performed immediately and can consult and modify them with colleagues and lecturers throughout the entire period,
  • chamber ensembles and new projects are created,
  • there are no barriers or limits,
  • all lecturers are available to everyone,
  • public concerts are held in Czechia and Austria.

We want each participant to take away not only new knowledge, but also an experience that can fundamentally change their future artistic direction.
